“Blessed is the man who delights in the law of the LORD and on His law he ruminates day and night” – Psalm 1:2

There are three full-color picture books available: Mary’s Road of Sorrow and Joy, The Alpha and the Omega, and God Opposites.
Mary’s Road of Sorrow and Joy
A family-friendly picture book about Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Mary’s Road of Sorrow and Joy comes in the wake of a long tradition dating back to the Middle Ages when Christians remembered the Seven Sorrows of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and the Seven Joys of the Virgin. This book takes readers through the sorrows and joys of Mary’s life including the announcement that she would bear the Messiah, the shock of losing her son for three days before finding him in the temple, and even the death of her husband Joseph. Each page features a biblical passage and depicts Mary in a beautiful picture from classical art by painters such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Carl Heinrich Bloch. Ultimately, viewing the stages of Mary’s life shows how following Christ brings great suffering and great joy.
God Opposites
An introduction to Christian theology, for all ages — Who is God? What is He like?
God Opposites introduces children to the God of Christianity by juxtaposing attributes and images of God’s nature. Each attribute or image is derived specifically from the Bible and is portrayed in a beautiful picture from classical, sacred art. On the one hand, children will experience God’s oneness and unity in Lucas Cranach’s picture of The Creation; while on the other hand, they will encounter God’s threeness and triune relationship in Juan Navarrete’s picture of Jesus’ baptism. These contrasting yet complimentary attributes of God’s character engage children in gazing at the wonder and complexity of God. This book is a powerful introduction to Christian theology.
The Alpha and the Omega
A picture book about names of God in Hebrew Greek, Latin, and from A to Z!
The Alpha and the Omega is a classic ABC book where each letter of the alphabet is used to communicate a message. This book matches each alphabetical letter with a name of God from the ancient languages of Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. Readers of the Bible will notice some familiar words in the original languages of Hebrew and Greek, like Elohim (meaning “God”) and Logos (meaning “Word”). Each name of God is derived from a Bible verse and matched with a picture from classical christian art. This is an easy book for children to leaf through on their own or for a parent to sit down and provide deeper instruction into the beautiful names of God. “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name!”

An audio book (with digital files of both stories and song refrains) is in process, and will be available in the near future. It is called The Lifesong of Nehemiah. For more information, see the Audio Book Page.
